Tactical Boot Camp (TM) is outdoor physical training inspired by military-style boot camps, available for group training anywhere in New Zealand. Unlike pure Krav Maga training, boot camp is less focused on self defence, but more about fitness & conditioning.
In boot camp, we work as part of a group, learn combatives, get combat fit, develop mental determination and have fun training outdoors. It is ideal for beginner Krav Maga students or those who enjoy training outdoors the old fashioned way.
Great for corporate groups, groups of friends, or team building. Tactical Boot Camp is physical training with purpose. We believe that physical training should never be boring, nor should itself be the end goal, but rather a by-product of doing something that you enjoy, or learning a new life skill.
Tactical Boot Camp training includes Krav Maga (Contact Combat) drills that were designed to condition a soldier's fitness to a state of readiness. Krav Maga is the official self-defence system of the Israeli Army. We use Krav Maga 'bursting' and 'explosive' drills in our training which trains you to exert sudden bursts of energy, causing an adrenalin body dump and immediate physical exhaustion. It has been said that Krav Maga training burns more calories in an hour than going to the gym, jogging, swimming or cycling.

Tactical Boot Camp (TM) , unlike just jogging or walking, trains student to exert short and sudden ‘bursts’ of explosive power in anaerobic training, designed to increase your power, strength, speed and appropriate muscular toning in every part of your body. Along with consistent aerobic demand placed on your body which benefits cardio vascular function and decreases body fat, this creates a well rounded training option.
At the end of the day, the outcome of any intelligent training program should be to improve the real world performance of the participant. This means that the training methods should mimic the demands placed on the body for which the activity trained for, and our goal is reality-based survival fitness. You will improve your ability to defend yourself at a basic level, improve your general strength, speed, stamina, and effective weight loss.
